Pick up & call back efficiently

Smart Callback, new types of text messages or picking up the calls from Pickup Groups are among a few novelties in Proxima and Libra firmware.

In the newest version of Proxima, Proxima plus and Libra firmware we introduce:

  • Smart Callback. The feature is very useful when we are identified in the outband traffic with the general company's number, and not with the direct DDI number. Or when we make calls on mobile numbers through the GSM cards implemented in the PBX servers (and the number of such SIM card is displayed on the screen of called party's phone). If such call is not answered by an external user and they would like to call back, the server will find the way directly to the extension user that had called them, instead of directing the call to the number that had been displayed. The routing time (how long the PBX server will keep information about failed connections and the numbers related to them) may be defined from 30 minutes to 24 hours in Call distribution -> Smart Callback. (scroll the page down to watch the explainer video about Smart Callback)
  • Pickup Groups are groups of users, where the call incoming to any member of a group can be intercepted (picked up) by a user with privileges to pick up the calls directed to the members of such group. Pickup Groups may consist of users belonging to different Hunt Groups, and the call source may be of any kind - direct, call schemes etc. The pickup is made with *710 code. Pickup Groups are defined in: Extensions -> Pickup Groups.
  • New types of text messages (SMS):
    • type 1 concerns outgoing calls made through the GSM (SIM) card. If such call is missed, the called party (external user) will receive a text message send by PBX server with information about the call made by a GSM line and with the number to call back (DDI or general number + extension number);
    • type 2 concerns incoming calls missed by an external port user (Multi Phone feature, where an external number, e.g. a mobile number, is assigned to an extension). If someone calls the extension number, the call forwarded to the mobile phone assigned to it will be presented with a PBX' GSM card number. Text messages will provide information about the caller's actual number - either an external one, DDI or extension number.
    Types and contents of text messages may be freely defined in Common settings -> GSM settings. In order to see the default English texts, the Language of text messages (SMS) should be selected first.
  • GSM signal amplification - the possibility of audio strenght regulation for GSM cards and different GSM modules types.  The PBX server detects the available types of modules and suggests the defult settings for them. They can be modified in Trunk lines privileges -> Given GSM line -> Detailed settings -> Audio amplification.
  • Increase to 500 the number of PBX servers that can be managed in Libra PC offline software. That's the answer for repeating requests of our partners managing many PBX systems all over the country.
  • Other improvements of PBX servers' stability and bug fixes.

All above features are available without additional costs after PBX system upgrade.

They can be seen on our test servers at proxima.platan.pl and libra.platan.pl  (default password: 44444444).

We'll present these novielties in firmware and offer during the forthcoming webinars (in Polish). The recording of the webinar will be posted on Platan channel on Youtube with English subtitles. Subscribe the channel (with Google account) to keep informed.
